IZOD IndyCar Driver Simona De Silvestro Releases a Mobile App for Android Phones
Indianapolis, IN (May 12, 2012) - With opening day at the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway upon us, IZOD IndyCar driver Simona De Silvestro's free mobile app for Android phones is available for download. Simona invites her fans to enjoy the ease of following her on any Android mobile device in a new inclusive environment. Fans can follow Simona's Twitter feed, the Lotus HVM Flickr feed and get the latest news on Simona and her team all in one convenient location. The unique Fan Box feature allows fans to see what others are saying about Simona on Twitter and gives them another opportunity to share their thoughts.

The Swiss driver is running her third season in the IZOD IndyCar Series in 2012. Having stunned the North American open-wheel world in 2009 with 4 wins, 4 pole positions and an extraordinary 9 podium finishes, Simona finished 3rd in the points for her final season in the Atlantic Championship Series, before moving to HVM Racing's IndyCar program in 2010 where she won the Indy 500 "Rookie of the Year" Award. Simona was also the first woman to ever earn a podium result at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway when she scored two 3rd-place Formula BMW USA finishes at the U.S. Grand Prix in 2006.
